The couple’s designer friend says she feels “heartbroken” for them.
Kate Middleton and Prince William may put on a brave face for the public, but, privately, they are reportedly struggling to cope the princess’s cancer diagnosis.

According to Will and Kate’s designer friend Amaia Arrieta, who has dressed the Wales family for over a decade, they are currently struggling with the news. “I’m heartbroken at the moment,” Arrieta told The Telegraph on Thursday. “I think they are going through hell.

“She continued, “I hope they come back. It’s quite personal.
Earlier this week, Will provided a rare update on his wife’s health during a surprise walkabout following his visit to the charity James’s Place in Newcastle. “Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?” a royal fan inquired, to which the Prince of Wales replied, “We’re all doing well, thank you.”

“And obviously Catherine?” The woman proceeded. Will responded again, “We’re all doing well.”
Middleton disclosed in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer following planned abdominal surgery earlier this year.

In a speech written by herself, the mother of three stated that she was in the “early stages” of prophylactic chemotherapy treatment. “In January, I had extensive abdominal surgery in London, and my condition was believed to be non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, but post-operative tests revealed the presence of cancer,” she said in an emotional video.

The Wales family has had a very busy week. Not only did Kate Middleton and Prince William mark their wedding anniversary, but the family is also commemorating the birthdays of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who were born on May 2 and April 23, respectively. While Kate’s hectic schedule would be enough to overwhelm anyone, sources close to the royals say she remains “resolutely cheerful” for her children.

According to Christopher Andersen, the author of The King: The Life of Charles III, Middleton “remains a ray of light in what can often be a suffocatingly stuffy environment behind palace walls.”

He also noted that Kate and William’s 13th wedding anniversary was a little “bittersweet” for the couple, saying that when “they celebrated their 12th anniversary by releasing a photo of themselves smiling broadly on bicycles, no one could have imagined that a year later, both Kate and the king would be battling cancer.”

As Kate Middleton battles cancer, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ “go-to” stylist admits the family is going through a difficult period.

“I’m heartbroken right now; I think they’re going through hell, and I hope they come back. “It’s really personal,”

“I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all of your wonderful messages of support and understanding while I was recovering from surgery,” Middleton said in the video, which was shot and posted last month. “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”

She added that following her stomach surgery in December, her illness was thought to be “non-cancerous.” However, subsequent tests revealed that “cancer had been present.” Her medical experts urged her to begin chemotherapy.

Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?” one woman asks in a video posted to Instagram by royals fan account WalesVideos.
“We’re all doing well, thank you,” the father of three said.
“And obviously Catherine?” the woman inquired.

The Princess of Wales will continue to take a break from royal duties as she undergoes treatment and recovers.
