Sky News takes a look at the list of candidates who are vying for the position of commander-in-chief. According to President Biden, the “battle for the soul of America” is still going on, and in order to ensure success, he needs to be re-elected to a second term.

His first term has been defined by the fulfillment of some of his main campaign promises, such as the creation of millions of jobs and the restoration of a feeling of normalcy in the United States following the COVID. However, there have also been low points, such as the turmoil that occurred in Kabul after it was taken over by the Taliban.

His detractors point to his age, which is the oldest contender in the race and is several years older than Trump, as well as his tendency to make mistakes and the occasional unfortunate tumble.

The poll ratings for the president left little to be desired, with only 41% of Americans maintaining a favorable view of him as of the middle of June. This is despite the fact that it is highly unlikely that he will face a significant competition for the candidacy of his party.

An excerpt from the speech: “The question that we are confronted with is whether in the years to come we will have more freedom or less freedom.” More rights or fewer rights.”

Is it possible to make America great once more?

Trump, a Republican, is 77 years old.

It was this week that Donald Trump made history by becoming the first former president of the United States to ever appear in court to face federal criminal charges.

Nevertheless, he is unwavering in his commitment to run for a second term as president in the year 2024.

He dismisses the allegations made against him as being motivated by political considerations, and his devoted followers appear to be energized to speak up in his defense.

Even though he is facing 37 criminal accusations for retaining sensitive material, obstructing justice, and making false statements, in addition to a variety of other legal issues, he has managed to maintain his position.

Simply said, the former president is unwavering in his belief that he will retake the Oval Office in the year 2024.

As the current front-runner in the Republican race, his reputation among certain Republican voters has suffered as a result of the indictment that was brought against him about the boxes of documents that were found stashed inside a lavatory at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

However, there are still a significant number of people who support the most polarizing politician in the United States.

By depicting “blood-soaked streets” in “cesspool cities” and a “invasion” at the border, Trump painted a dystopian picture of the United States of America as he announced his decision to run for president in November 2022 alongside Vice President Joe Biden.

The pledge that he would carry out the execution of anyone who were found guilty of peddling drugs was met with shouts from his fans.

Polls on a prospective showdown between Biden and Trump produce a variety of results, despite the fact that he is currently dominating the Republican field.

However, according to one that was published at the end of May, Biden has a little advantage.

The introductory phrase: “I have assumed for years that I am a Target of the WEAPONIZED DOJ & FBI.”

The top-tier cultural defender in charge

A Republican named Ron DeSantis, age 45

It is impossible to overlook the ascension of Ron DeSantis, who is currently serving as the governor of Florida.

He is presently considered to be the only Republican candidate who has a chance of defeating Trump in the primary, despite the fact that his poll ratings have been declining. He is a former little league baseball standout who finds everything “woke” to be offensive.

During his tenure as governor, the Sunshine State has become a breeding ground for so-called anti-woke legislation, which includes a prohibition on the instruction of critical racial theory.

Since Disney publicly opposed his “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which focuses on discussion of sexuality and gender identity in classrooms, he has also managed to create an enemy of the entertainment giant Disney. This is because the bill concentrates on the discussion of these topics.

In the soundbite, the speaker says, “What I’ve discovered is that when people start talking about things like global warming, they typically use that as a pretext to do a bunch of left-wing things that they would want to do anyway.” As a result, we are not engaging in any activities that are associated with the left.

Do you know this? It has been said that his “greatest asset” is his wife, Casey, who is a mother of three, a former news journalist, and a survivor of breast cancer. She is credited with helping to design his ascent to fame and even taught him how to contour his face before appearing on television, which is a cosmetic method that Kim Kardashian made famous.

One who is opposed to vaccinations

69-year-old Robert Kennedy Jr., an independent

He is, in fact, a member of the Kennedy family. His uncle, John F. Kennedy, was responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and his father, Robert F. Kennedy, was killed in 1968 while he was running for the presidency.

However, despite the fact that he is a Kennedy, he is not the conventional politician who is seen as part of the establishment.

Over fifteen years ago, he took a position that was opposed to vaccinations. Prior to that, he had been an environmental lawyer who focused on topics such as clean water.

While the COVID-19 pandemic was going on, he became well-known for his anti-vaccination stance, despite the fact that health professionals, as well as a member of his own illustrious family, believed that his attitude was both harmful and deceptive.

The next year, in 2022, he was compelled to issue an apology after he made the statement that the conditions for those who were living under COVID-19 limitations and regulations were even more difficult than those that Anne Frank endured during the Holocaust.

In a recent statement, he claimed that he has discussions with those who have passed away, which stoked fresh controversy. In a later statement, he stressed that the “conversations” were only one-way and that he did not receive “strategic advice from the dead,” as reported by the Free Press.

Nevertheless, in spite of the fact that he is seen as an outsider and that many of the things that he says are frequently criticized, he has garnered sufficient support to imply that there may be a yearning on the part of the left for a populist approach.

In the fight for the Democratic nomination, he is currently ranked at 16% and 20% in two recent surveys, with Biden being far ahead of him at 62% and 60% respectively.

The opening statement: “My mission over the next 18 months of this campaign and throughout my presidency will be to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power that is threatening now to impose a new kind of corporate feudalism in our country.”

Do you know this? By the year 2005, he had written an essay titled “Deadly Immunity,” in which he reiterated the false assertion that immunizations were associated with autism in children.

Ramaswamy utilized to be an executive and investor in the biotechnology industry. A year ago, he established a company with the purpose of exerting pressure on businesses to forsake programs pertaining to environmental, social, and corporate governance.

After the Iowa caucus, he decided to withdraw from the campaign because it was extremely unlikely that he would be able to face off candidates like as Trump and DeSantis, let alone defeat Joe Biden, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee.

The assertions that he would replace the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as shut down the Department of Education, have attracted a lot of debate.

The soundbite: “We will use our military to annihilate the Mexican drug cartels,” he said in an interview with the New York Times.

Do you know this? Not only would he have been the youngest president in the history of the United States, but he would have also been the first Asian-American to head the Oval Office.
