Yankees thoughts from Saturday's 11-4 Cardinals loss include Luis Severino's worrying tendency.

The Yankees are facing a concerning problem with Luis Severino

Severino's performance in the game raised serious doubts, as he yielded nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits

With the exception of his previous start, Severino has been struggling since June 2, allowing a total of 21 runs (19 earned) on 29 hits

The Yankees' offense failed to make an impact for most of the game, managing to score only one run before the ninth inning

Despite a late surge with three runs in the final inning, the deficit was too significant to overcome.

The Cardinals' pitcher, Jack Flaherty, proved to be a formidable opponent, tossing six scoreless innings

surrendering only four hits, while striking out four and issuing two walks.

Among the Yankees, Oswaldo Cabrera and Anthony Volpe were the only players with multiple hits.
