Will Smith discusses Steven Spielberg's helicopter surprise for 'Men in Black.'

Will Smith recently revealed how Steven Spielberg convinced him to take on the role of Men in Black.

Will Smith joined on Kevin Hart's Hart to Heart show to discuss his most memorable film roles.

Smith credited producer James Lassiter, referring to him as a "arbiter of taste" since Lassiter encouraged him to work on ten highly successful films during his peak.

He revealed that it was James Lassiter who persuaded him to do Pursuit of Happiness and Ali despite his wishes to not act in them. 

The mysterious band Dogstar is making a highly anticipated return to the rock scene ,

Pursuit of Happiness and Ali are both popular films that earned him Best Actor Oscar nods, according to Entertainment Weekly. 

He also offered an intriguing story about first refusing to do Men in Black but subsequently being cast in it. 

Responding to Hart's question on how the actor changed his mind. Will Smith said, "Steven Spielberg sent a helicopter for me."
