Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega triumphs by a landslide

Employees at Sega of America voted "yes" to formally create a union. 

Tallying the group's mail-in ballots on Monday, the Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega, or AEGIS, was declared the winner.

There were 91 votes in favor of the union and 26 votes against it out of a total of 117.

According to a press release from Communications Workers of America, the unit will cover more than 200 positions at Sega of America's Irvine, California location.

The union includes representatives from the marketing, localization, product development.

Games as a service, and quality assurance departments. The 2022-opened Irvine office has space for up to 235 employees.
