Taylor Sheridan talks Kevin Costner's "Yellowstone" exit.
"Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan and star Kevin Costner haven't spoken much since Costner decided to leave the series for his Western franchise "Horizon."
Costner's departure from "Yellowstone" was confirmed in May, with Season 5B potentially airing later in the year, pending the writers' strike situation.
Sheridan denies any clashes with Costner and praises his work on the show
– hoping Costner's movie project "Horizon" is successful.
"Horizon" is a multi-part film project Costner has wanted to make since the 1980s, and he's assembled an all-star cast for it.
A "Yellowstone" spin-off sequel series is planned with Matthew McConaughey in negotiations to star.
Sheridan is disappointed that Costner's departure impacts the closure of his character, John Dutton, in the series.
Sheridan has many other projects discussed in the interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
