Sour Cherry Negroni

A Sour Cherry Negroni was on the menu when London import.

Hawksmoor's first New York City restaurant opened last fall, and it has since become one of the house specialties.

This modern take on the traditional aperitif showcases rosé vermouth and sour cherry juice with an acidic adjustment, giving it a fresh look.

The head bartender at Hawksmoor, Ciarrai Kelly, states.

"Our approach is simplicity and flavor without overwhelming guests with obscure ingredients or long-winded descriptions."

The Sour Cherry Negroni is another delightful variation of the classic Negroni cocktail, adding a touch of fruity tartness with sour cherry flavors.

Here's how you can make it:

Ingredients:  · 1 ounce gin · 1 ounce sweet vermouth · 1 ounce Campari · 1/2 ounce sour cherry liqueur (such as Maraschino or Luxardo) · Orange peel, for garnish

Instructions: 1. Fill a mixing glass or shaker with ice. 2. Add the gin, sweet vermouth, Campari, and sour cherry liqueur to the glass. 3. Stir well until thoroughly chilled, about 30 seconds. 4. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass filled with ice or a rocks glass with a large ice cube. 5. Garnish with an orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before dropping it in. 6. Serve and enjoy your Sour Cherry Negroni!
