Peanut Butter Brownie

These delectable peanut butter brownies will once again demonstrate that there are few finer matches than peanut butter and chocolate.

This dish features a deep, fudgy layer of chocolate and a swirling layer of creamy peanut butter on top.

Depending on your preferences, you can add additional chocolaty pleasure by topping with chocolate chips, or if you prefer salt, add peanut butter chips or crushed peanuts.

Peanut butter brownies are ideal for an after-dinner snack or a gathering, such as a birthday celebration or picnic, because they are portable and keep well for a few days.

This recipe yields around nine servings in an 8-inch square pan, but because the brownies are dense and rich, cutting smaller pieces increases the yield to 12 and allows for more portions for guests (or seconds for yourself).

Butter provides the luscious basis for these brownies. If you use salted butter, use it unsalted or reduce the amount of salt added.

Granulated sugar: Adds sweetness and moisture, keeping the brownies fudgy. Vanilla extract enhances all of the flavors in these brownies.

Eggs: Helps to bind the brownie and give it a rise while baking. Unsweetened cocoa powder: To keep the brownies from becoming too wet or dense, we mix cocoa powder into a melted butter base.
