Outlander Sam Heughan's sweet advice to Tony Curran ahead of spin-off show

Outlander fans are ecstatic over the casting announcement for the show's prequel series Blood of My Blood. Tony Curran, who plays Jamie Fraser's grandfather, is one of the stars.

Sam Heughan, who plays Highland warrior Jamie on Outlander, offered some kind advise to the Mayflies actor before taking on the part of Lord Lovat.

Harriet Slater, Jamie Roy, Hermione Corfield, and Jeremy Irvine have been cast in the spin-off series.

Despite fans' emotional reactions as the eighth and final season of Outlander approaches, there is still plenty of action to look forward to. Some recognizable celebrities are also expected to make a return.

Tony told RadioTimes that he chatted with fellow Scots actor Sam "a few times" while looking for Scotland v England tickets.

He stated: "He's just been polite, he's a sweetheart, he was like 'just have a good time' and told me about the producers, the crew, and what the experience would be like.

Finally, he said, 'I think you should do it and you'll have a terrific time.'"It's meant to be that you're contracted for a set number of years, but whether or not that happens.

What I've seen so far is tremendous professionalism from the Scottish and British teams up there, and what we've shot so far looks fantastic.
