Morgan Stanley Gets 15,000 Brokers for Bitcoin ETFs

Morgan Stanley, a major financial company, is expanding its Bitcoin ETF offers.

The move will allow its 15,000 brokers to actively offer Bitcoin ETFs to customers, increasing consumer access to digital asset funds and demand.

After regulatory approval in January, Morgan Stanley and other Bitcoin ETF investors limited their purchases to unsolicited transactions.

This conservative strategy requires clients to initiate bitcoin investing talks with advisors, reflecting industry hesitance.

Morgan Stanley takes precautions to go from passive to active soliciting.

The firm is setting “guardrails” to regulate the new strategy, including risk evaluations and customer trading limitations.

Morgan Stanley's cautious attitude is typical of banking companies' crypto strategy.

Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo have developed Bitcoin ETFs, but only high-net-worth clients can buy them, indicating industry reticence.
