Kevin Costner delivers a surprise 'Yellowstone' disclosure after his dramatic exit.

Kevin Costner is willing to returning to "Yellowstone" following an unexpected exit after five seasons.

Costner, 69, played grandfather John Dutton in "Yellowstone" on the Taylor Sheridan series.

He appears throughout the first half of Season 5, which concludes in January 2023.

Part two is currently scheduled to be released in November, despite an actor strike and cast changes.

"I'd like to do it, but we haven't been able to," Costner told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday about his desire to return.

"I thought I was going to make seven (seasons) but right now we're at five."He added, "Perhaps this will lead back to me.

Costner has also considered how his tale may proceed, telling ET that his character "needs to be proactive," but ultimately the decision would be Sheridan's.

"I told him as much a while ago. I had ideas about how that may happen, but we'll see," he said, alluding to meetings with the writer and creator.
