Jason Kelce's ESPN contract details emerge after the Philadelphia Eagles legend's retirement.

Jason Kelce's move from the NFL to ESPN is generating headlines, as he prepares to negotiate a lucrative contract following his retirement.

After a successful 13-year career, the former Philadelphia Eagles centre will return to "Monday Night Countdown" for the upcoming season.

According to Steve Brenner of the Sun, ESPN has signed Kelce to a three-year contract worth $1.8 million per year to appear on their Monday night football coverage.

Not to mention, the plan includes a generous $1 million sign-on incentive.

Kelce was a coveted item before ESPN signed him, with media titans including Amazon, CBS, and NBC all reportedly vying for his services.

According to the US Sun, Fox Sports was also in the running, with a three-year, $6 million deal.

Kelce, however, believed ESPN was his best bet, influenced by their offer to give him "full freedom" to continue producing the "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

According to the terms of the reported agreement, ESPN would have the chance to buy the popular Kelce brothers' podcast if they decide to sell before 2025.
