In "John Wick: Chapter 5", the Deadliest Assassin Is Resurrected.

Joe Drake, Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group chair, announced a fifth chapter for the "John Wick" series during an earnings call.

Drake revealed plans for a cinematic universe expanding from the original series, with spinoffs and TV shows.

The first spinoff, titled "Ballerina," will be released in 2024 and follows a Ruska Roma assassin, played by Ana de Armas.

The story of "Ballerina" takes place in the same school where John Wick received his training.

The Ruska Roma organization trains orphans in various disciplines, including wrestling, ballet, and lethal skills.

Drake mentioned the development of three other spinoffs and a TV series called "The Continental."

The franchise aims to organically build upon the world of John Wick and provide a regular release schedule for fans.

"John Wick: Chapter 4" dominated the box office with a stellar $73.5 million opening weekend, surpassing previous installments.
