In December, Searchlight will release Marielle Heller's horror comedy Nightbitch starring Amy Adams.

On Friday, Searchlight Pictures announced that its darkly humorous horror picture Nightbitch

starring six-time Academy Award winner Amy Adams (Arrival), will open on December 6.

Author-director Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) adapts Rachel Yoder's outstanding debut novel.

Nightbitch follows a suburban mother parenting a toddler who slowly embraces the feral force of motherhood as she becomes aware of the unusual and unmistakable signals that she may be turning into a canine.

Bond Group and Annapurna purchased film rights to Yoder's book and created the script with Heller, relaunching Megan Ellison's Annapurna.

Searchlight bought worldwide rights to the picture for around $25M in May 2022.

Adams, Stacy O'Neil (Dead Ringers), Heller for Defiant By Nature, Anne Carey (20th Century Women)

Christina Oh (Minari), and Sue Naegle (Shirley) produced via their Bond Group banner. Sammy Scher and Havilah Brewster executive produced.
