Final Score: Mavericks vs. Rockets: Three takeaways from another significant victory in Houston, 125-107

The Houston Rockets were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks, 125-107. With 47 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists, Luka Doncic led Dallas. With 28 points of his own, Jabarai Smith led Houston.

Dallas faced a formidable challenge going into tonight's game because the Rockets were riding an 11-game winning run. They triumphed with yet another significant victory, proving they were equal to the task. For this crew, that has become the norm.

Houston opened the score with five points, continuing a recent trend of Maverick opponents doing the same. However, Dallas got comfortable,

and Luka Doncic started breaking down the Rockets' defense. He played a brilliant quarter of basketball, seemingly unaffected by his injured Achilles. Dante Exum scored two.

Starting the second half with a double-digit lead, the Mavericks held their own in the non-Luka minutes. Daniel Gafford produced plays inside,

PJ Washington heated up from three, and the Mavericks kept up their defensive pressure. Houston was able to maintain their lead because they frequently reached the free-throw line.

Luka Doncic, however, came back and increased the Maverick lead to 21 points.
