Colorado football's Deion Sanders loses a significant number of players via the transfer site.

Colorado football faces some bad news as the transfer portal opens on Tuesday. The Buffaloes are losing multiple players to the portal, according to ESPN.

The departures come from both sides of the ball as the program prepares for its first season in Big 12 action.

As of this writing, at least five Colorado football players have entered the portal.

The Buffaloes lost five players: wide receiver Tar'Varish Dawson, offensive tackle Savion Washington, safety Myles Slusher, offensive lineman David Conner, and defensive lineman Chazz Wallace.

It is unclear how many more players will decide to depart Deion Sanders' program

In 2023, the players contributed a mix of production to the Colorado football program.

Washington started nine games on the offensive line for Colorado, while Dawson started four games after joining the program from Auburn, according to 247 Sports.

Wallace started four games on the team's defensive line after joining from Old Dominion.
