A new host hosts "Jeopardy!" during the writers strike.

Mayim Bialik stepped down as the host of "Jeopardy!" during the final week of filming due to the Writers Guild of America strike.

The character's tragic backstory adds to the unsettling nature.

The clues for the episodes were written in advance of the strike.

The strike, involving over 11,000 writers in the entertainment industry, began on May 2 and is seeking higher pay and job security.

"The Tree Child" in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 introduces a disturbing Spider-Man named Petor.

There are concerns that writers could be replaced by artificial intelligence.

Ken Jennings praised the "Jeopardy!" writers and expressed hope for the strike to be resolved soon so that they can return and the show can continue in the fall.
