STRAWBERRY DRAGON FRUIT REFRESHER (DUNKIN)

Spread the love

As summer approaches and the days become unbearably hot, it’s time to change up your drink selection. When the weather becomes chilly, there’s nothing better than starting your day with a steaming cup of coffee. You might wish to switch to an iced coffee in the spring. But sometimes the last thing you want is coffee when it’s really, really hot outside. Not usually does the strong, bitter flavor hit the spot when all you want is something cool. When you decide to give up morning coffee, what should you order?

You can always choose to have a Refresher from Dunkin’ if that’s where you’re obtaining your drink. Compared to coffee, these fruity drinks are significantly lighter. It’s also simple to discover a flavor you enjoy because they come in a broad range of flavors; some are really sweet, while others are more subtle. With some of the greatest Dunkin’ Refreshers, you’re sure to love the coffee break no matter which one you select. Which, though, are truly delightful, and which fall short? We sampled these several varieties of Dunkin’ Refreshers to provide you with an in-depth analysis.

Dunkin' Has New Refreshers in Strawberry Dragonfruit and Peach Passion Fruit Flavors

It should come as no surprise that Dunkin’ debuted several new tastes this year for the summer because it loves to keep things interesting. Mango Pineapple Refresher is one of the flavors. We were thrilled to learn about this beverage when we first heard about it since come summertime, how could a concoction of tropical fruits not taste good? But when we finally had an opportunity to taste it, we were really let down. The Mango Pineapple Refresher did not taste nice, in our opinion.

The pineapple sweetness in the mixture feels incredibly fake, and you hardly detect any mango flavoring at all. It’s hardly unexpected that we detect a lot of sweetness given that this is supposedly a blend of tropical fruit juices. All much sweetness, though, is overwhelming because there’s never enough acidity to counterbalance it. We also didn’t want to take another drink after the initial one due to an odd aftertaste. Although we appreciate that Dunkin’ is experimenting and trying out new flavors for Refreshers, we have to admit that this one is mostly a bust.

Would you like to purchase a drink that would appear attractive on social media? In that case, the Strawberry Dragonfruit Coconut Refresher is the drink you should choose. Refreshers with coconut contain, you guessed it, coconut milk. This gives them a fuller body and deeper flavor, even if many of them are on the juicer side. We were immediately thrilled to try this coconut milk drink because it looked so delicious. This Dunkin’ Refresher looked floral, delicious, and refreshing all at once because of its lilac color.

10 Dunkin' Refreshers, Ranked Worst To Best

Unfortunately, you can’t judge a book by its cover or a drink by its hue. Regretfully, we don’t think much of this Refresher taste. Is it superior to the Pineapple Mango variety? Yes, but that’s not hard at all. This one, in our opinion, tastes like liquid Sweet Tarts; while there is some acidity, the sweetness predominates. We suppose it’s not a bad option if you’re seeking liquid candy. However, if you’re searching for something that truly tastes as refreshing as its name implies, the Strawberry Dragonfruit Coconut Refresher isn’t the best option. If you feel compelled, take a picture, and then proceed to something tastier from the Dunkin’ menu.

Are there any peach fans out there searching for a beverage that would satisfy their summertime cravings for peaches? If so, the Peach Passionfruit Refresher is likely to be appealing to them. We don’t particularly enjoy the peach flavoring in this beverage. It’s not the best for our palates because it’s very robust and definitely sweeter. However, this drink might appeal to you if you don’t mind the fake peach flavor. We found this Duinkin’ Refresher to be marginally more palatable than the previous two in our list, despite its high sugar content.

We’ll concede that compared to the other drinks we’ve discussed, the flavor profile of this one feels more harmonious. Although there is still a noticeable sweetness, in this instance, the acidity seemed to work better. We still don’t think the beverage is particularly refreshing, though. After consuming so much sugar, how are you going to feel renewed? We would like if they sold these without added sugar so we could concentrate more on the taste.

This drink has a lot going on, not all of which is beneficial. The predominant flavor is coconut; the sweet, creamy taste of coconut milk coats your tongue, making the fruit syrup difficult to detect at first. We thought we tasted a trace of vanilla in the coconut milk, but we might have been hallucinating it.

The Discontinued Refresher Flavor Dunkin' Fans Miss Most

Following the first taste of coconut, Dunkin’s raspberry watermelon syrup’s watermelon candy flavor hits you hard. It’s a strange pairing because watermelon lacks the tropical flavor that coconut does, and the fruit syrup’s tanginess contrasts with the overbearing sweetness of the coconut. The combination of flavors almost works on some sips; it reminded us of Chè Thái, a Vietnamese delicacy of fruit jelly and coconut milk. But for the most part, it was just unclear. We had no desire to complete this refresher.

The Strawberry Dragonfruit Coconut Refresher is a fan favorite of ours, but what about the version without coconut milk? When you order the Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher, that’s exactly what you get, and we have to say, it tastes way, way better than its milkier cousin. Even though it’s still not our favorite Refresher, it’s still not entirely unpleasant. In a pleasant way, the strawberry flavor is quite intense. This Dunkin’ Refresher is a little more complicated than we had anticipated thanks to some faint floral overtones as well. Naturally, the Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher has a high sugar content as well. Therefore, don’t think that you’re getting the world’s most refreshing beverage.

This beverage takes us back to the original Starbucks Refreshers before they got all fancy with all those added fruits and syrups. Just the drink and some ice, though, doesn’t bother us. However, we doubt we would regularly order this iced drink. It’s hardly the worst option on the Dunkin’ menu for those moments when all you need is something lighter than a coffee.

You may think that since we didn’t enjoy the Mango Pineapple Refresher, we wouldn’t enjoy the Mango Pineapple Coconut Refresher either. It turns out that by mellowing the drink down, coconut milk improves it significantly and makes it superior to its simple version. The flavor of the mango is enhanced by the addition of coconut milk, for some reason. It’s a good thing that the pineapple tastes less prominent because we thought the previous drink we drank had a fake pineapple flavor. The milk gives the drink a thickness that helps this Dunkin’ Refresher better absorb the sugar while maintaining its characteristic sweetness.

This beverage has the flavor of a piña colada, and who doesn’t enjoy one in the sweltering summer heat? Not that we would go above and above for this Refresher. However, we may be tempted if we happened to be seated at the Dunkin’ drive-through and were in the mood for anything with a tropical flavor.

The Raspberry Watermelon Refresher without coconut is unquestionably better than its creamier cousin. Green tea or lemonade might be used as the base; we decided on lemonade since we thought the citrus would go well with the fruity syrup.

For the most part, we were correct; the lemonade with the raspberry watermelon syrup made far more sense than the coconut milk. The watermelon was the star of the show; we didn’t taste any raspberry in the syrup. But instead of tasting like watermelon juice, it tasted like hard candy with artificial flavoring. In particular, this drink strongly reminded us of Jolly Ranchers. It was a tad overly tart, which was our biggest grievance. Though the fake watermelon went really nicely with the lemonade, maybe the green tea would have produced a less tart drink. In any case, this refresher is a good choice for the center of the pack. Although the syrup tasted a lot like candy to us, we could tell that other individuals were having a great time with it.

This is an additional Dunkin’ Refresher that gains from the use of coconut milk. After the milk is added, the Peach Passionfruit Coconut Refresher becomes rather tasty. The smoothness of the milk provides the necessary boost to that powerful peach taste found in the simple form. It’s a larger, thicker drink with less abrasiveness from the intense fruit flavors. We must admit that we don’t really detect any passionfruit flavor. If the fruit wasn’t mentioned in the name, we wouldn’t have guessed that particular one, however there might be a faint tang that you could associate with it.

We believe that this Refresher has the best chance of sticking around the longest out of all the ones now available on the Dunkin’ menu. It’s definitely a fantastic option for summer, but it’s not so vibrant and fruity that you couldn’t have it at any other time of year. Is it Dunkin’s finest drink? No. In case you’re seeking for something a little unconventional or thrilling, the Peach Passionfruit Coconut Refresher can be the ideal choice.

At last, we can indulge in our preferred Refreshers from the menu. We highly suggest opting with the lemonade option if you decide to try this type of Dunkin’ beverage. These lemonade Refreshers provide you a more nostalgic feeling than the other drinks, which seem to mostly rely on artificial flavorings. This is especially true if you were raised sipping lemonade in the summer. This drink’s mango-pine flavor doesn’t steal the spotlight. Here, though, the lemonade is the one that shines. The end product is a lightly sweetened lemonade with a subtle flavor that perfectly balances the powerful acidity.

Dunkin’s simple lemonade is good on its own, but we really enjoy it when it’s mixed with different tastes. It elevates a simple drink to a unique level. Because while homemade lemonade is always an option, what about adding flavors like mango and pineapple? Not that simple. If you want to taste some of the best that the Dunkin’ Refreshers brand has to offer, you should definitely give this iced drink a try.

The Peach Passionfruit Lemonade is our absolute favorite Dunkin’ Refresher of them all. We really can’t get enough of the peach and lemonade combination in the summertime. Imagine strolling around a Georgia peach orchard while sipping fresh lemonade and taking in the aromas of ripening fruit that float from the trees. That’s precisely what this drink will provide you—or, as it stands, the closest thing to juicy peaches you can find while driving through a Dunkin’ Donuts before an early morning meeting.

There’s the Dunkin’ Lemonade’s brightness and acidity. A delicate peach taste contributes some depth and extra sweetness to the mixture. Once more, we’re not really able to taste the passionfruit here either, but if Dunkin’ wants to label it that, we’ll buy it. Overall, we highly suggest the Peach Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher if you’re looking to get a refresher for the first time and are unsure about what to get.
