Travis has aphasia as a result of the stroke, which affects his speech and singing. Mary tells “CBS Sunday Morning” that he knows what he wants to say but can’t seem to get it out. Mary does a lot of the talking for him.

New AI models, however, have made it possible to replicate Travis’ voice, which is now included on the song “Where That Came From.”Randy Travis is still amazed by the artificial intelligence that made it possible for him to sing, as is his wife Mary.

Mary said to Fox News Digital on the ACM red carpet, “I was crying so hard that I couldn’t hear much when I first heard it.”

“When Randy watched it, it was beautiful because I watched him go from listening real intently to this pensive emotion to a smile and then an outburst of laughter,” she continued, accompanying Randy. He had heard his own voice so many times with the previous songs, but this one was brand-new, so hearing it again was just an overpowering emotion. Thus, it was simply stunning.”Following his hospitalization in 2013 for viral cardiomyopathy resulting from a respiratory infection, Travis experienced a significant stroke. With her arm over her husband’s shoulder, Mary remarked, “It’s given Randy back the ability to make the music—to do the things that he loved to do more than anything in the world.” And what would you wish for, if others could only fathom what it would be like to lose their biggest passion? Thus, for eleven years, we prayed and hoped that “please let us make music again.”

She said, “And now that he can, it’s been magical,” to which Travis nodded. We like to refer to it as “creative intelligence” since it was fascinating to watch him and record producer Kyle Lehning collaborate to create this song from 42 of his song stems, with James Dupree providing the vocals.””And we’re hoping that AI will be used for good from now on and not pirated, not robbing from the artist,” Mary said.

This month, Travis’ new song was revealed.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Travis said, “Eleven years ago, I never thought I would be able to have a hand in music production of any kind.” But I’m able to make the music I love so much because of God’s grace and the help of friends, family, fellow artists, and fans. I’m thrilled to share my new song, “Where That Came From,” with you today. It has been such a pleasure and a nostalgic experience to work with Warner Music Nashville and Kyle Lehning once more. Many thanks to my amazing staff and the world’s greatest fans for getting me back on the horse! I’ve relished every second of it.

The vocalist of “Forever and Ever, Amen” made a rare public appearance on the ACM red carpet.Travis described his experience at the show as “good,” and Mary mentioned that they were making a local visit to the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

“Being at the ACMs, No. 1, in my hometown is nice, being raised here, and we live here, so it’s nice that it’s close to home,” she stated. “But there’s just so much energy, there’s so many great people here, and we’re so happy that we get to be a part of the ACMs.”

She mentioned that Travis has a long history at the ceremony, having won 11 prizes in all, including two for best male vocalist.
“Randy has a history with them, and we took an 11-year sabbatical after the stroke, so it feels so good to be back; with Randy having a little bit of music out now, it gives it a whole new meaning,” Mary stated.

Along with fellow country artist Clay Walker, Travis also appeared on stage to give an award during the event.
