Olivia Rodrigo makes history as youngest ever artist to receive Brit Billion Award

Olivia Rodrigo made history recently when she was named the youngest-ever recipient of the Brit Billion Award for vocals.

The singer received recognition on Thursday for reaching one billion UK streams for her recently released album Guts, which is officially certified by the Official Charts CompanyThe singer is not the only one who won the honor; she is presently in London promoting her album Guts.

The Brit Billion Award was introduced in May and has since been given to a number of well-known performers, including the late vocalist Whitney Houston, the Swedish pop trio Abba, the British band Coldplay, and R&B icon Mariah Carey.In addition, Becky Hill, Lana Del Rey, Queen, James Arthur, Rita Ora, Lewis Capaldi, and Ellie Goulding were among the other recipients of the prize.

Olivia, meantime, has already won several honors. She sang the song “Drivers Licence,” which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, at the June 2021 Brit Awards.At the Good 4 U awards presentation in 2022, the artist was also given the International Song of the Year award.
