McDonald’s National Cheeseburger Day promotion offers double the enjoyment! Fans of the Golden Arches may score a nice offer on Sept. 18 just in honor of the gastronomic holiday. McDonald’s is giving away 50-cent double cheeseburgers with no purchase required. Customers must order through the McDonald’s app to take advantage of the great deal.
Earlier this week, news came that McDonald’s would be removing self-service beverage dispensers from all of its stores in the United States. According to PEOPLE, the fast food company aims to phase down the stations by the end of 2032. The firm wants to ensure that all ordering methods, including McDelivery, the app, kiosk, drive-thru, and inside the restaurant, provide a consistent experience for customers and staff members.

Fans of the Golden Arches expressed their displeasure with the alteration on X (previously known as Twitter). “Damn how else am I finna [sic] mix everything to my liking,” one user said, referring to how customers like to mix different sodas together in one cup. Another just stated, “Why?????”
Some social media users brought up the refill issue. “How about the refills, tho?” another app user asked.
The chain’s fortunes improved this summer. McDonald’s introduced a new, limited-edition flavor of the renowned McFlurry in July: the peanut butter crunch McFlurry.

According to the official McDonald’s menu spotter page, it contains vanilla soft serve combined with crispy cereal mix and chocolate peanut butter cookie pieces.
The fast food business also introduced a strawberry shortcake McFlurry in April, which included strawberry-flavored clusters and shortbread cookies in their soft serve.
