Ron DeSantis has made it public that he is withdrawing from the run for the presidency.
On Sunday, the governor of Florida made a video announcement on X, which was formerly known as Twitter, regarding the suspension of his campaign. In the video, he made a reference to Winston Churchill, who had previously served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
According to what DeSantis said in the description of the photo, “Success is not final; failure is not fatal; what matters is the courage to continue regardless of the outcome.” In the video, he articulated his thoughts and sentiments regarding the significance of his campaign and his position as governor of Florida.
Later on, DeSantis made a statement indicating that he would support former President Donald Trump for the presidency in 2024, following his decision to step down from his position. “We can, in fact, succeed again as a nation—nobody worked harder, and we left it all out on the field,” the governor of Florida stated in reference to his campaign run.
In addition, he stated that he was unable to request additional help from his followers if there was not a “clear path to victory.” “It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” DeSantis said further.
They observed how obstinate opposition stymied his presidency, and they now witness Democrats using force to criticize him. DeSantis continued by saying, “Trump is superior to the incumbent who is currently serving, Joe Biden.”
In addition, he criticized Nikki Haley, the nominee for the Republican Party, asserting that she is a representative of the “old Republican guard.” “I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee, and I will honor that pledge—he has my endorsement because we can not go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear—a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents,” DeSantis told reporters.
“The days of putting Americans last, of cow-towing to large corporations, of caving to woke ideology, are over.”
INVESTIGATIONS FROM HALEY AND TRUMP
The United States Sun reported that while Haley was speaking to supporters about the update, she had complimentary things to say about her rival, despite the accusations DeSantis made against her on Sunday.
Haley made the observation while the crowd was cheering. “Now, we just heard that Ron DeSantis has dropped out of the race,” she said. The message I would like to convey to Ron is that he has been a terrific governor, that he has run a great race, and that we wish him the best of luck. “Having said that, it’s now one fella and one lady left.”

In addition, the Trump team acknowledged DeSantis’ endorsement in a formal statement that was released late Sunday afternoon. “With only a few days left until President Donald J. Trump’s victory in New Hampshire, we are honored by the endorsement from Governor Ron DeSantis and so many other former presidential candidates,” the advertisement stated.
“It is now time for all Republicans to rally behind President Trump to defeat corrupt Joe Biden and end his disastrous presidency.” Haley was also criticized in the statement. “Nikki Haley is the candidate of the globalists and Democrats who will do everything to stop the America First movement,” the statement said.
“From higher taxes to decimating Social Security and Medicare and opening borders, she represents the views of Democrats more than the views of Republicans.” Furthermore, the Trump campaign emphasized that “it is time to choose wisely.”
The phrase “PACK YOUR BAGS”
The decision by DeSantis to withdraw from the race comes just a few days after The United States Sun published an exclusive interview with Sean Spicer, a former secretary of the White House, in which Spicer stated that the Florida governor had “just hit a brick wall” following the Iowa caucus.
“When Trump is still in the race to fill a role that has already been filled, it is difficult to run as an American First candidate,” Spicer said of DeSantis. “It is difficult to run as an American First candidate.” From the beginning, it was going to be difficult to run for office as the heir apparent to a candidate who is still running for office.
In spite of this, Spicer stated that the decision of the governor of Florida to run for office was not a mistake on his behalf, given the progress he has made in the Sunshine State. He came very close to winning the election for governor of Florida in November 2022 with a unanimous vote, and some people praised him as the ideal candidate to succeed former President Trump in the nomination for the presidency.
Four separate indictments have been brought against Trump on a wide range of claims. Spicer was quoted as saying to The United States Sun, “There’s no question that he was hot.” “Sometimes you have to strike when the iron is hot,” Spicer said. “It appears that DeSantis has just run into a wall. He was unable to compete with Trump.
Despite the fact that Americans prefer Trump over DeSantis, Donald Trump has not only caused him to be forced out of office. According to Spicer’s argument, Trump had turned his artillery on DeSantis, who was his political adversary.
It is my recommendation that you “pack your bags, get back to Tallahassee [Florida] as quickly as you can, and save your money for a rainy day.”. Prior to the January 23 primary election in New Hampshire, DeSantis appears to have taken Spicer’s advice.
