Jesse Kelly, a conservative radio presenter, took the initiative to proclaim that he is the person that Senator James Lankford (R-Oklahoma) said had threatened to “destroy” him because of his advocacy for the bipartisan immigration measure that has since been pulled from consideration.

Lankford stated that an unnamed “popular commentator” had “told me flat out, ‘If you try to move a bill that solves the border crisis during this presidential year, I will do whatever I can to destroy you because I do not want you to solve this before the presidential election.'” Lankford made this statement during a speech that he delivered on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday.

The politician continued by saying, “By the way, they have been true to their promise and have done everything in their power to destroy me over the course of the past few weeks.” The law was subjected to unrelenting criticism from former President Donald Trump and his allies, who view immigration as a crucial issue for his prospects of being reelected in November.

After the fact on Wednesday, Kelly asserted that she was the one who threatened Lankford on X, which was formerly known as Twitter among social media platforms.

“I’ll say this about James Lankford: He has great taste in radio,” it was written by Kelly. “He may be a eunuch, but I’ll say this about him.” He continued by saying, “Yes, in case you were having any doubts, he is talking about me.”

Before Tucker Carlson was fired from the conservative network in April 2023, Kelly was a regular guest on the Fox News show that he hosted when he was still employed there.

Kelly has made a number of contentious statements in the past, including “America needs a dictator” and “the right is going to pick a fascist within 10 to 20 years” to govern the country.
